Everyone procrastinates at some point. Mine has gotten so bad that I put things off to the last minute and then rush to get things done. I embarrassed by this problem. Is this a form of depression?

I would think not as you say you rush to get things done eventually. When depressed you don't care if they do get done and very often they don't. This may be a trait you have especially if you have always been like this. Many people are and as long as you do what you have to do don't fret about it. If you really don't like it then reward yourself after all the chores are done with something you really like and that is doable. It may help you to start a new habit of not putting off things until later so you can have your reward.

Labeling your problem won't help you any unless your a drug company. I procrastinate all the time, as do many, but all that really matters is if you get it done. If you're causing yourself large amounts of stress then maybe it's a problem. But the hard thing isn't changing your habits. The hard part is actually making the decision to change your habits. You'll know when you've truely made the decision to do something because you'll be doing it. And remember..."later" means "never" or "the very last possible second".

But don't be embarrased by anything. Waste of energy. Besides...the worlds full of wierd, crazy people. You're just another one in the crowd.
