My Dad is a conservative and he is not pro killing but he may very well be anti-people. I don't always agree with him on political issues, being somewhat too liberal (I donate money to charity, believe in saving the tiger, etc) but other than that he seems like a decent guy. Do you know any conservatives you like? One or two maybe?

In Vietnam, we learned a valuable lesson. That anti-war is not "pro-people". After we decided to end the Vietnam War by pulling out of SE Asia, hundreds of thousands of Vietnamese were slaughtered. Millions more were slaughtered by the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia. You can't say that the political left is "pro-people", since so many died when the US followed their plan.

Conservatives are simply trying to acheive a minimal cost of life. That is difficult when you have people with an order from heaven to kill you or die trying. But killing 1,000 terrorists is worth it to prevent a biological bomb that could kill millions.

Most of us are good people and seem the same as you. If we were together in a group, you'd never know the difference. I've never known anyone to be anti-people and pro-killing.

Most are fair, loving, and decent people. A few crack heads give conservatives a bad name. Especially the ones with a voice on radio.

Hey, now. A lot of my friends are conservative. We set politics aside and have a good time shooting the breeze about classes, college plans, complaining about homework, and so forth. They have the greatest of regard for human life; in fact, that's what leads them to the political affiliations they have.

What does this have to do with zoology, anyway?
