Hey, this happened to me, Here are a few tip's that i have learnt and i really hope help you!!
Drink plenty of water, and try and consume some fruit,
Change your pillow case every 2 night's, On the second night, just turn the pillow over onto the other side, * because when you have acne, sleeping too long on one pillow case will cause more acne, as the bacteria get's on your case, and causes more problem's!
Try you absoloute hardest not to lean or rest your face on your hand's, If you do it, keep reminding yourself it will spread more acne, as it's the same as the pillow case scenario.. While your resting your head in your hand's your skin is sweating withe heat and its causing bacteria as your acne is a wound.
Keep your hair out of your face if you are getting pimple's
Also if you have pimples near your hairline, Use a dandruff shampoo as this has a small ammount of Sacylic acid which will dry and keep away those nasty zit's.
Use a mud mask on your face if possible as this will bring out impurities, Cleanse gently 2x a day, tone and moisturise with an oil free moisturiser if possible,
What will really help you when topical treatments wont is Medication, Here are some great option's for acne skin.
Minnocylin. - this is an antibiotic, pimples get oozy and spread bacteria all over your face, hence, causing more pimple's this will help stop the infection and cycyle of bacteria in your skin.
DIANE-35, this is a contraceptive pill. I used this and it worked wonder's in 3 weeks i saw a 80% improvment in my skin!
Diane is used as acne in teen's is cause by hormone's ( puberty) this can and does carry into adult hood. Too many androgen's.( male hormones) are produced and not enough Estrogen( female hormones) which causes the glands and the skin to produce extra oil etc, Diane has 2mg estrogen which also may give side effect's such as breast growth.. which some people wouldn't mind!!
Ro-accutane, usually used in treatment for serious and long term acne, is a very powerful drug, your doctor will only prescribe this if your antibiotic's hasn't worked. Also if you are a woman to be on Ro-accutane you must be taking 2 form's of birth control anyways.
I hope this has helped you, If you want more information please feel free to email me! x3 best of luck

Dry and/or greasy skin due to poor oil composition of the skin. Thick greasy oils clog pores, lack of oil leads to dryness and irritation. You need thin oils to moisturize while dissolving and clearing gunk in your poors. Try fish oil or seafood. 2 tsp fish oil a day or 4 servings of seafood a week. Stick it out for at least 2 months; it will take a long time to replace all your oil. Any effect after 1-2 days is temporary or random; so even if it makes you break out a little at first, you haven't given it a full try yet.
In the short term you can wash and moisturize well, but that will only go so far. Plus excessive washing can be drying and excessive moisturizing can be clogging. Use a small amount of a light moisturizer, made with oil not jelly or grease. Often that means soybean oil or mineral oil. Mineral oil means mined from the ground. So soybean oil is usually better, though mineral oil won't cause too much harm. Clean with soap and water, not a harsh acne cleanser. Even then they only work so well. So you really need the seafood.
Antibiotics aren't really good for bacteria long term, they'll come back in force after. Short term they may help. After you get off them find some kefir with acidophilus listed first or 2nd to replace the friendly bacteria they destroyed. Studies show less illness when you have these bacteria, even outside the stomach in places such as the lungs and elsewhere. You want friendly bacteria to fill the void when the antibiotics stop, not harmful ones.
In the short term you might also try 100,000+ iu retinol vitamin A (a megadose, and too much for normal use) or one of the acne drugs that is similar to retinol vitamin A. It's some minor harm to your organs, but it helps against bacteria on your skin. At least it doesn't have the other long term drawbacks to your skin that antibiotics and many scrubs do.
If you would like to learn how to treat your acne permanently and regain your health and wellbeing, without drugs, without typical acne treatments, and without any side effects, then this will be the most important letter you will ever read.

I would consult a dermotologist (skin doctor). But if you really don't want to,Try an acne medication that has stuff called "Benzoyl Peroxide" in it, and make sure it has less than 5% of it listed as the active ingredient. To check for the active ingredieant look on the back of the packaging and read the lable entitled "Drug Facts". Most medications contaning Benzoyl Peroxide are over the counter, and often times cheaper than (dare I say it) Pro Active.
However, if said product you choose does not work, I would consult a dermatologist. As a matter of fact, I suggest consulting a dermotologist before you do anything. It is probably the safest way of finding out what's up, with the acne, and a treatment that works best for your skin.

aww, I'm sorry! I've had that problem before. Here are some tips!
-Drink More Water and Less sugary drinks
-excersize
-wash your face everyday with a mild facial soap
-when you go to sleep, wash off all your make up and put on a skin clearing moisturizer
-use an exfoliater in the shower, where your pores are most open, i suggest St. Ives
-make sure you use good make up (no cover girl, its been shown to give the most break outs!) Try Neutrogena.
I hope this helped!

I have my break outs and I'm 21. I have used Pro Active, it didn't help out it dried out my skin even with the gentle formula. I even went on medication. The best medication I have used is called Minocyclene, it clears up the acne for me I took it 1x either morning or at night each day but I dont use it anymore not cause it didn't work...cause it cleared up my face. I haven't used it for a long time now. I use Biotherm Skin Care, it helps out. You can buy Biotherm @ Nordstroms or Macy's

If you can stand to stay in a Sauna for 30-45 min. using 145-155 degree heat, that will get rid of it.
