If the government has no knowledge of aliens, then why does Title 14, Section 1211 of the Code of Federal Regulations,
implemented on July 16, 1969, make it illegal for U.S. citizens to have any contactwith extraterrestrials or their vehicles?

I believe in the Roswell incident. Like people say all the time, there's noway we're the only living planet in all these solar systems. Perhaps aliens are the bacteria in the air we breathe. Intelligence can be found in the smallest forms.

In reading info on this, the original idea was to regulate the manned and unmanned missions so they wouldn't brig back potentially contaminated materials if they were encountered. It was a "just in case" thing.

That is strange. I wasn't aware of that, so first off, I won't give rides to the store to my elderly neighbor anymore.
