i'm not an English speaker and i know the chorus of the song says "I don't ever wanna feel like i did that day" my question is : does it says something before "I" or does he pronounce it too fast that i do no understand it clearly?

the song is cool ,the chorus is I'm building brides straight to your heart and all of this distance won't keep us apart won't keep us a apart that is the chorus in the song . i got the cd .
