you probably just lost your mucous plug... it will be mucousy, not an actual clump like most people think...

if you are spotting blood/ fluids, you should go have a check up just in case. it could be nothing, or your membranes could have ruptured ( you want to know this, because it puts you at an increase risk for infection)

time your contractions... when they start lasting longer and coming more frequently and increasing in intesnity, you are in true labor

if they come here and there with no specific pattern, they are called false labor...

right now it sounds that you are in false labor, but dont worry... it will come soon enough!

tell your doctor whats going on. . make a log of when they start and stop and how far apart they are.it might help your doctor determine if its the real time. my due date was nov. 15 i spotted ater sex. they told me to come in as soon as i could get there. but every thing was fine. 2 days later sept. 26 i went in to labore they stoped it. but id say you should be getting your baby any day now. let your doc now youve had some bleeding right away be on the safe side.

Spotting could be a sign of other problems, you should let your dr. know. They might want you in the hospital asap.

Please call your doctor. It sounds like there may be a baby on the way really soon. I doubt he'll advise you to just rush right to the hospital right this minute; but he'd no doubt appreciate the "heads up".
