I just did a facial peel with 70% Glycolic Acid. My face tingles and feels like a sunburn. I don't really notice any skin changes except my face looks like every hidden pimple has surfaced and popped. So what should I expect from this peel in the next day or so?

Will these peels really help skin look great?

70 percent glycolic acid? 10 minutes.. presumabley your first time... I would have expected your face to actually have burned right off!! For first time users 70 percent is wayyyyyyy too much!! Use 30 percent for face... 70 percent is for back and body; 50 percent can be used anywhere including face but for shorter periods of times and after your skin is used to peels. Be careful using 50 percent on your face.. use it for 2 minutes at a time on every area and never forget to neutralize with Baking soda and then rinse off with LOTS of cold water.

I actually dont believe you used 70 percent glycolic acid for 10 minutes.. your would have felt more than just tingling for certain unless you used a very thin layer.. if not then you could have done something bad.

To be honest you wont look significantly better until after a couple of peels and from now it will actually look worse for the next couple days because the dead skin will accumulate and flake off or scab / turn brown.

First off.. moisturize the area you peeled very well and protect it with sunscreen and dont do anything else to it for the next 2 days. Try not to go out in the sun. If you are asian or have darker skin tones you may notice your skin start to brown or if you had that peel on for that long your skin will in fact scab.. dont peel this off.. just let it fall of on its own.. its like a scab anywhere else on your body. If you peel off the skin and scabs you WILL affect the pigmentation of the new skin and it could end up looking worse than you originally looked!!!! When your skin has fully peeled it will feel very soft and smooth like baby's skin. Keep your face protected with sunscreen and allow your new skin underneath to be protected and to pigment and blend in with unaffected areas of normal skin.

If you know what your are doing these peels will make your skin look better.
