I think this question reqires a degree of humility and honesty. I think there are times when I am vain about my beliefs and I am interested to hear others experiences with this.

I always think about this question due to my current surroundings being that I am an inner city black youth it is customary for us to be into rap music, smoking weed, hanging out, and basically wanting nothing out of life except for the so called "hood life". I am quite different from that in which I have a more profound perspective on life I want inner peace, discovering my purpose in this world, and all the other mysteries of life. I want something other than playing basketball or being a rapper, but at times I wonder should I be like all the other people I am around is it wrong for me to think differently am I "selling out" as so many people have told me.

About 30% of what I think is different than what I actually believe.
I believe in true things and in good things but most of the time wahat I think is influenced from the world around me therefore it is not always good and right but bad and confused.
