Titanium doens't have nickel in it, but a watch isn't necessarily made out of pure titanium.

However, the nickel may not be as reactive in a titanium watch band as it would be in a gold plated/silver plated band. So it's worth investigating. Save your reciept.

Stainless steel is definitely a way to go here, by the way.

The titanium watch band is probably not pure titanium metal but an alloy. Nickle is a common metal to make alloys with because it is cheap. Most people have skin reactions to metals like nickle and copper and shouldn't wear metals or alloys that contain those metals. But you probably would not be told the truth about the content of the metal even if you were able to ask.

Best to go with a Stirling silver (that has been pickled to remove any trace amounts of copper on its surface) or stainless steel.

My skin breaks out if there is any copper or nickle present in watch bands. I have a stainless steel watch band for my Casio watch and don't have any problem.

Nickel is a chemical element and so is titanium. Being an element means that it is not composed of any chemicals other than itself. So nickel does not contain titanium; however, you should check that the watch you are going to wear is not made of a compound containing nickel. I say this because I believe that there is a watch called Titanium but as a brand. Nothing guarantees that just because the brand is titanium it would not contain nickel.
So please check carefully.

pure titanium has no nickle, it is an element, but I cannot vouch for the metalurgists who work for any given watch company. Some companies may use alloys that contain nickle.

Nickel is one element and titanium is another. They do make alloys or mixtures of metals with the 2 however. If the watch is titanium you should be okay.I rememer in band, a girl was allergic to nickel and her flute was nickel and her chin turned black when she played. She was all right with a silver flute.

Titanium has no nickel, but stainless steel does. A cheaper solution would be to use a watch with a plastic case and plastic band. If money is no object, you could go with gold or platinum.
