Yes...As a sufferer I am painfully aware you can. Ah the memories of a hideously long coach trip from Edinburgh to Dover followed by the ferry overnight to Zeebrugge...All I saw was the inside of paper/plastic bags!!!!!!!

It's not a stupid question...It's a question of a person that hasn't traveled much!
:-)
Yes, you can get "motion sickness" every time you travel in a moving vehicle: Automobiles, Boats, Buses, etc. On planes generally less...unless there is turbulance, in which case some people do upchuck
Motion sickness is said to be all in ones mind. If this is true or not, I don't know...

I used to work on a cross channel ferry. Some of the crew got sick everytime the sea was rough and they threw up more than once.

4 hour crossing and they puked they whole time, two hours in port they stopped, the return crossing they puked the whole time.

So, yes you can get motion sickness more than once.

Why do you think they call it motion sickness? That is because it affects people who are adversely affected by rocking motions. Create the situation and you will be sick. The medicines work for a maximum four hours.
