i would like to know what it means.

Here is what I found. I am thinking that it might have something to do with Aztec mythology. In their mythology, the owl represents the god Chalchiuhtecolotl. He was a night owl god. The sun god for the Aztecs was Tonatiuh and the moon goddess was Yohaulticetl. I am not sure why they are together on a statue, but it seems an interesting piece.

how about---union of sun and moon= union of male and female= alchemical marriage, supported and facilitated by wisdom represented by the owl? works for me! :-)
