I think that he may just need his space. After all he is going to be going through a lot. Give him his space, but also let him know that you will be there for him anytime he needs to talk about what's going on in his life.

There isnt really much you can do. All you can do for your friend is tell him that youre there for him and when hes ready to talk about it, youll be there. Hes going thru self blame meaning he withdrawn into himself feeling like hes to blame for this, and hes hurting like his life is coming apart. Just give him a little room and he will be around soon. Forcing him to do something will only cause him to withdraw further so be patient and he will come around looking for his best friend, and just listen, dont answer. Good luck

happened to me, i mean friend wise....and personally. hang out like you normally do, but if he doesnt want to talk then dont force him. just let him know that youre there for him and he can talk to you anytime he needs to. but first, give him time to adjust.

Just call your friend and make sure to give him some time. Let him know that he can talk to you. Just don't be pushy about it.

we all handle things differently, he may need time to himself and this may be something that he just isn't ready to talk about right now, don't take this so personally...............................................try to be there for him, but don't question him about his parents. Tell him only this: if you need to talk i will be here for you....and let it be...............if he wants to talk he knows that he can come to you, but if you question him and he isn't ready to talk about it, he will pull away from you, so stop worrying and just be there for him
