I think they're the product of the "Ask the World" thing. The advertising from that attracted a lot of people, both older people, middle aged people and young people. I guess the younger ones stuck around a lot longer or they're more noticeable with slightly declined sense of asking and answering but what am I saying, I'm only gonna be 15 in 5 days! But I've been here since mid April so I'm no bandwagon jumper.

LOL Kayte, I know what you mean. Its like the age average in here is 12 or something. Well, it IS summertime and all the kids are home and bored...not too long before school starts back, then maybe the maturity level will increase.

I can't stand when people type with abbreviations and strange fonts and symbols.
Anyway it's probably because they dont have much better to do. If I had the internet in my house when I was 12, I probably would have wasted away on sites like this.

I know I wish they had a "grown-up" Yahoo! answers and the kids could have their own forum. They'd probably still want to ask questions on ours. Kind of like at Thanksgiving and Christmas always wanting to sit at the adult table.

Isn't this the teen/ preteen forum? What do you expect? They are intelligent enough to ask questions, rather than remaining quiet. Yay for them for trying to be informed. I just hope everyone who answers them sees it as a responsibility, and answers the questions truthfully and to the best of their ability.

it's probably because they are retarted, or that they really are 12 years old. I was thinking the same thing a few minutes ago. And because yahoo will allow anyone, and I mean ANYONE to have an account. It's getting really old.
