Abortion is a sin and it is killing a child.
That said...God will forgive you for anything if you are truly sorry and do penance.
Maybe your penance can be counseling young girls against abortions.
You know from experience that you can come to regret your decision.
Good luck to you.

Don't be so hard on yourself! If you did not have knowledge or great funds or circumstances for doing the abortion I am sure God will take it all into consideration. I feel he knows how humans feel by JESUS taking on the flesh. You did wrong but had reasons for doing wrong or now no choice. Ask God to forgive you and try to come to terms with the child you would have had... and do not get rid of any new children. Some say birth control is wrong too. Yet the arguement is when is conception the start of life in the state and goverment rooms.
I could have had a brother some said and I could have had a nephew. The principal was a bit before me. So I am not the first. The nephew I wanted to be the Mom to prevent the abortion. It was done to get a fresh start on mistakes. What we feel are mistakes early in life. It is a wonder any of us are here at all. Under the influence of such a procedure being possible and now to have it taken away. Pray That God Forgives I try not to look back or justify it but do not judge.

Hmm...It's a hard question that. I don't like abortions myself. I have luckily not been in a postion where I've had to have one, which I am very thankful for. I totally understand why people have them. The simple fact is, it is still killing a little life. And if you make this choice to have an abortion, you have to live with it for the rest of your life and maybe one day when you have other children, the fact that you had once aborted a pregnancy will come back to haunt you and cause you a lot of pain. So it's not a decision one should make lightly. If say you did make the decision to have an abortion, you would certainly want to have some counselloring afterwards, as I have heard of people who haven't and later in life their decision has caused them a lot of pain. There's also Adoption, which is a blessing to those poor couples who can't ever have children. But I guess the thing with that, is the women might fear going through with the pregnancy and not being able to give her child up. Anywayz that's my thoughts on the subject. I felt upset with myself when I took the morning after pill, just in case something was forming, but that's just me.

we dont know who will go to heaven or who will go to hell and its not our place to say.... but i hate the idea of an abortion, i dont understand how someone can kill their own child, born, or still unborn. there are 4,000 abortions worldwide a DAY and that number needs to disappear QUICK, and its not only your body its GODS too, and you cant decide if you want to kill the baby or not, its not your place
i think the only exceptions would be if the women would die if she had the baby or if the women was raped.
besides there are other options, like giving the baby up for adoption
oh and everyone saying its a sin and you will be forgiven, BUT if you know something is a sin but you STILL do it anyway, thinking you can just go to confession later, you may be forvgiven but your testing God that way
here is a poem i would like everyone to read
: Month One
Mommy
I am only 8 inches long
but I have all my organs.
I love the sound of your voice.
Every time I hear it
I wave my arms and legs.
The sound of your heart beat
is my favorite lullaby.
Month Two
Mommy
today I learned how to suck my thumb.
If you could see me
you could definitely tell that I am a baby.
I'm not big enough to survive outside my home though.
It is so nice and warm in here.
Month Three
You know what Mommy
I'm a boy!!
I hope that makes you happy.
I always want you to be happy.
I don't like it when you cry.
You sound so sad.
It makes me sad too
and I cry with you even though
you can't hear me.
Month Four
Mommy
my hair is starting to grow.
It is very short and fine
but I will have a lot of it.
I spend a lot of my time exercising.
I can turn my head and curl my fingers and toes
and stretch my arms and legs.
I am becoming quite good at it too.
Month Five
You went to the doctor today.
Mommy, he lied to you.
He said that I'm not a baby.
I am a baby Mommy, your baby.
I think and feel.
Mommy, what's abortion?
Month Six
I can hear that doctor again.
I don't like him.
He seems cold and heartless.
Something is intruding my home.
The doctor called it a needle.
Mommy what is it? It burns!
Please make him stop!
I can't get away from it!
Mommy! HELP me!
Month Seven
Mommy
I am okay.
I am in Jesus's arms.
He is holding me.
He told me about abortion.
Why didn't you want me Mommy?
Every Abortion Is Just . . .
One more heart that was stopped.
Two more eyes that will never see.
Two more hands that will never touch.
Two more legs that will never run.
One more mouth that will never speak.

Just because the bible, which was written by non-divine people, says a few things to make you seem like a horrible person for having an abortion, then think about the following.
If you didn't have an abortion, you would have given birth to a child that would not have the financial support it needs to survive in the world. The struggle would make your life and your child's life miserable, which would lead to problems later on. In all reality, the lack of financial support raises children who turn out to be bums, drug addicts, criminals, etc. Given that your partner did not want the child and you disagreed and gave birth, then the child would not know his father. That troubles the child as he gets older. It is painful to not be able to know who your father is. Say you give up the child for adoption, well then you screw your child up for the same reasons I stated above. A child without his biological parents suffers so much, even if he lives with a caring family. Thus, is aborting a fetus (which cannot live on its own without your anatomical support, and is therefore not alive) for the sake of avoiding its grievance later on is not a sin in my eyes.

A child is a gift from God. Unless it is a medical emergency, a life or death scenario, an abortion shouldn't take place. People should accept responsibility, whether keeping the kid and raise it, or give it up for adoption. No, unless you are not saved you won't go to hell for an abortion. Call it murder whatever, it's a sin and we are forgiven from our sins once we ask for it from God. If going to hell is true when a person aborts a child even if they are a believer, then every believer of Christ would go to hell b/c we all sin on a daily basis. Forgive yourself, and if you haven't ask God to forgive you, and believe that He will.

As a male, I don't feel that I have any right to answer this question. BUT I will say that you first have to believe in hell to even begin to answer the question. Otherwise, the question is irrelevant. Also, if you are a Christian and have an abortion, you can repent and your sins can be forgiven. With that line of reasoning, hell should not be a worry.
P.S. In no way do I mean to sound morbid or sacreligious, I am just thinking through the question logically. Hope it helps!

Abortion is a choice that I feel women have a right to make. The world is already overpopulated, and continually having children because abortion is "wrong" is just dooming the world. If you're pro-life, then I really feel sorry for you. Not really, but I think you might want to look at the world around you, and open your eyes. Choices are a daily part of life.

I have mixed feelings. If a woman who can support a child gets pregnant, she shouldn't have an abortion. But lets say a 13 year old girl is raped and becomes pregant. What happens then? She obviously can't raise it on her own. If she gives it up for adoption, eventually the child will want to know who the father is. What are the parents going to say...oh ur father is a rapists. I think in that situation...abortion is ok

Abortion is not an answer to birth control as some use it as. When you have an abortion, you are killing a baby. A baby is a life with a beating heart. I am against abortion except in cases of rape and mother's life being in danger. I am not God, so I can not say that you will go to hell for having an abortion. I know that
Eph. 2:8
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—
John 3:36
Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God's wrath remains on him."
John 5:24
"I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life.
Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
As long as you believe in Jesus, you will be saved. It doesn't matter whether you have had an abortion or not. Jesus died on the cross for our sins, so we may live with him in heaven.

This is a tough issue..I believe there are situations where abortion is ok. If having a baby risks the mothers life in any way I say its ok. But if you simply cant afford the baby or arent ready to add a baby to your life..maybe you should not have had sex in the first place. the baby has a right to live and should be put up for addoption. THese are just my views and I dont mean to offend anyone by anything
