It depends on the state in which you live. Most places a 14 year old either cannot work at all or only work 1-2 hours a day before 6pm. Many fast food restaurants won't hire 14 year olds because of all the legal. Restaurants don't often hire under 15 because it's just too difficult to work around the laws. I'd check with the labor board in your area for specifics on minors working and what restrictions there are.

I had a job at taco bell when I was 15 made night manager by 15 and a half was told not to say anything becuase I was supposedly to young to operate the machinery in washigton you need to be at least 16 but if you are a hardworker and interested in getting a job I am sure you will find one you might have to start as a dish washer or something like that

Generally you cant work until you are 16 but i believe you can get a work permit, That's something you can look into.
