Great there is a great toy called the "move and crawl ball" by V-Tech model # 80-61320 can be found at vtech.com or walmart and target last i checked and it moves on it's own when a brightly collored lighted button it touched, and if not touched again for a minute it will start rolling around a little and flashing so that it regains the child attention, i got one for my little one and she is still playing with it, she's now 1. It is not expensive, maybe 18.00 at the most, also fake keys and other things that make lights and sound are great for going into this age. Good luck!!!

Whatever she likes will only grow.

We have both a jumper on the floor and one that fits in the doorway. The one in the doorway is MUCH more fun for him (now 10 mo).

Try things that light up and play music. Or pop up. Things that she can interact with.

Also, begin her with reading books to her as quiet time. My son and I spend about 30 minutes before nap time reading together and have since he was young.

Look at Fisher_Price toys. They're great for learning and they have toys for all ages. For the teathing try oragel. It works great to ease the pain.

Also, something an old country Dr told me when my son was teething (ok, it will sound a little weird, but it works great) is to let them chew on beef jerky. It breaks up into tiny peices they can swallow easily and they love the taste. It also hels to keep them from chewing on things they shouldn't have in their mouths.

Buy things with colors and that make noise. My daughter loved one of those exersausers too.

TEXTURED things! They are all about their senses, they like to chew on and feel things. There are some cool blocks that I got for my daughter that have different textures on them. She enjoyed biting on them too.
