My daughter is between a girls size 8 & size 10...what happened to girls size 9? There is size 6, 6X, 7, 8, 10, 12. Some run 7/8 and 10/12, but no 9 in between. Some manufactuers make 8slim & 10slims, or 8 1/2 or 10 1/2, but no 9...Why?

Even numbers are for kids with normal weight, odd numbers for overweight kids (they're called husky). That's when I last saw them. Don't know why they wouldn't have have 9's though. Old Navy has good stuff for all sizes. Consignment stores too. I like them because everything is already washed so you know how it will always fit.

Most girl sizes are even numbered, most junior sizes are odd numbered, and most women clothes are even numbers.

usually it doesn't really make a difference because of the different brands. But just in case buy either clothes with stretch or buy the 10 and a cute belt!!
