Well my good friend is very sad over a problem, and I can't seem to make her laugh or be happy. She had told me there was a guy that said he loved her and she loved him too. Well, she said that he was moving soon, and she became sadder over time. Sometimes he texted messaged her saying he loved her and wanted her but he never asked her out. It wasn't like he was embarrased of asking her out or anything.(He is the type that asks girls out first.) So what was the problem with that? Was it a joke? Either way it made my friend sadder each day. She is madly in love with him, and he claims he loves her, but they never told each other anything about dating. (My friend hoped he would of asked her out since he "loved" her so much) Well he moved not long ago, and my friend is worse than ever. She misses him and still loves him. How can I make my friend feel better about all this? She is always sad and hardly talks much anymore. Anyone also have ideas about why the guy was like that?

I've tried to cheer her up by taking her to the movies and trying to make her laugh, but she still gets sad when she thinks about it again.

This guy sounds kind of freakish. I'd say keep her mind off him as much as possible. It may be hard now, but it will get better. You sound like a very good friend, KEEP IT UP. True friends are needed the most in times like these. Best of luck to you and your friend!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Try cheering her up by saying some inside jokes you two have, act crazy and see if that will make her laugh, ummm ... make her a goofy card out of computer paper, or write something really crazy, that's what I do when I try to cheer my friend up when she's down. A guy just done me the same way, he said he loved me, and wanted to be with me ... this went on for about 3 months, but he'd never ask me out ... he'd date other girls, but he'd still tell me he loved me and wanted to be with me, then 2 weeks before school started (started Monday) he asked me out and said we'd wait till school started back, well he ignored me the first day of school, and hung all over girls right in front of me!!! It was awful, 'cause I loved him soooo much, and my friend done what I suggested you do, me and my best friend can always cheer each other up by using the methods above. Maybe the guy didn't want to get to attached and then just have to move, which I don't see why he wouldn't have dated her while he was still there, maybe he just didn't want either one of them to get hurt in the end! Sorry I can't help any more than this, I hope your friend starts to cheer up!!!!

broken hearts are terrible to mend, the longer she is away from him the better she'll feel. maybe if hes just being a goof you should try and get her to stop talking to him. all you can do is what your doing now, be a good friend.
