Hey, what is that duck doing in your refrigerator and cupboards? Maybe he should have a little home of his own in your house, maybe near your bedroom.
Gee, first time I've heard of anyone keeping a live duck in their refrigerator and cupboards.

Okay, so I was kidding ....
Serious answer: Well at the botanic gardens they give the ducks some kind of wheat crackers , some natural things. And the ducks there also dive for goldfish and different kinds of fish,so I gather an occassional fish might be a nice treat for a duck (that's if you can stand to feed it that) > well that's what they eat in nature.
They swim in the water and then dunk down to get the fish.
The also eat all the crackers the tourists feed them.
Hmm, wonder if that's why they call them quackers? lol.
quackers eating crackers !
Don't give them people food like chocolate or pudding or things like that. Don't feed them anything they don't eat in the wild.
Go to the bookstore and find a book on ducks and duck feeding.
Or better yet, check the library and take the book home with you .
I'm sure they probably would love a worm or two sometimes , perhaps a meal worm the kinds that grow in wheat .
So there you go that's my answer.
Have a peaceful day .

I used to have a duck....but I took him to a lake because he decided he needed female attention.
he liked bread, crackers
but I also dug up worms & rollie-pollies. I went to a bait shop & also bought live minoes & put them in his swimming pool.

Bread, lettuce, fruit.
They are vegetarians so as long as it's not meat, should be fine.
