I have a Toyota Corolla 98, and is in good shape, only that now I'm feeling a very humid and rather dusty odor that comes out from the ac windows. Should I replace a filter or something similar to avoid this situation?

The evap core has mold and bacteria growing on it, due to condensation. The core can be treated with a product that kills the bacteria, but a cheaper method is to get in the habit of running the blower motor on high, without the AC, for about the last 5-10 minutes you are driving. This allows unconditioned fresh air to dry up the condensation collecting on the evap core. Try it...it works.

in case you hit upon out, let me recognize... I actually have a hyundai sonata 3 hundred and sixty 5 days 2000 and the scent has continuously been there. do not recognize why. I further it in and they could put in an alcohol depending answer to bathe it out yet each 3 hundred and sixty 5 days, the first couple of situations I run it, the scent remains there. So that's what I do. For the first couple of runs once you want it, keep the abode windows open and blast it. Use the incoming air (no longer the in cabin air) before everything. in case you run it for awhile the scent will bypass away. Later you could swap to in straightforward words recirculating the in cabin air. i recognize this sounds stupid too yet in case you bypass to a vehicle wash, the only which does the wax that has 3 distinct hues and scents like fruit stripe gum, run the air in the course of the time that the stuff is sprayed on your vehicle. It makes the vehicle scent nice... nicely, like gum actual. a minimum of it would not scent like feet. satisfied smellin'!

well, it's possible the heat exchanger in the air box may be rusted and leaking slightly thus your picking up the odor and stench. The heat exchanger basically brings in hot air from the radiator and radiates it when the heater is on. Often these parts can get rusted. now this woudl mean you woudl smell the odor not only when the AC is on but just when the fan is on.
