What doses do these people take? I have been prescribed .5 mg but am afraid of what will happen since I have heard that people take it to get high.

It depends on your metabolism, but .5 mg never even seemed to affect me. I took Xanax with Lortab for years. I was on 2 bars 3 times a day, and it didn't seem to phase me, but I have a very high tolerance to drugs, probably because of all the surgeries I had when I was young. Try one, but don't go out or drive and see how they affect you. The effect is different on different people. Consult a pharmacist if you are worried. Pharmacists know more about medicine than a doctor because that is their specialty. Good luck, and I pray that you receive complete healing as I did so you won't have to take ANY anymore.

u should go on to web md.com and use their pdr to look up your meds and the indications and contraindications
