What would you say is the moral of the whole Harry Potter series. Well up until the 6th book.

I would say that the series as a whole is the classic good against evil scenario. I think it really shows that no matter what magical talents you might have, human nature is human nature, and there will always be conflict. Harry Potter shows that at times life can be harsh, but it is always good to keep your heart open and make the most out of everything.

The Harry Potter books are all about the battle of good versus evil. You have to believe that good will triumph, or what's the point?

Self-discovery and self-honesty, or why to continue fighting a battle that can never be completely won. First we stand behind and among those who would guide us. Then, one by one, they are passed as we step ahead into our lives. No we won't be good at everything. No we won't have an easy time or have all the things we want. And yes, we may need the help of others to face our fears, but ultimately we are standing alone fighting for who we are.

I think the moral of the series is to think for yourself. Don't be who people think you should be, don't do what people think you should do, don't feel what people think you should feel. Think things out for yourself and act accordingly. I guess more broadly, the moral is to be yourself. For example: Everyone is scared of Voldemort, even to say his name. However, while Harry initially was scared to say his name, he thought about it, and seeing Dumbledore's example, wasn't scared of Voldemort's name anymore.

I didn't think there was any specific moral. It's just a bunch of kids growing up in the wizarding world, under the shadow of a nasty dark lord.

There is no moral. That's why the books are so good.

The power of love. Dumbledore explains that this is the most powerful magic of all.

That JK Rowling is an awful writer with no imagination and talent and that people should be original and read books that are actually good.

And no, I'm not one of those religious "thou shalt not do witchcraft" people. I am actually an aetheist.

I just hate those books.
