Yes. Individuals can change the course of History and play a major role in it. Look at Jesus or Muhammad, for instance. Thats what I call history- making, hehehee. But also so many others, like Joan of Arc, William the Conqueror, Columbus, etc..
But normally, most of the process of History is due to structures and collectivity.
