my husband and I have decided to have a baby. I went off depo in april. I had a cycle in may nothing in june and just a bit of spotting in july. I am hoping that the july spotting was implantation bleeding. How do I know when I can take a test and it be accurate though, when I don't know when my missed period would be sincie I don't have a regular cylce? I am hoping I am pregnant now but the anticipation is driving me nuts. I just want to know one way or another.

I'm no doctor but my friend had the same problem. Her doctor had her stop the shots and get on the pill tor 3 months to help regulate her period and get it back to normal. After 3 months she stopped taking the pill and started taking prenatal vitamins. It took about 4 months after that for her to get pregnant.

My suggestion is that you take a test and wait for the results. Even if you're not pregnant see your doctor for an other test to make sure. If thats negative also then discuss doing what my friend did with your doctor. I know the way she did it was time consuming but her doctor felt that was the safest way for her to get pregnant.

GOOD LUCK

I was on the deprov too..and I stopped getting the shot and 3 months later I was pregnant....they say it's good to have that stuff completely out of your system BEFORE trying to conceive...BUT after NOT having a period for almost 5 yrs..and gaining 100 lbs...I figured...I'd rather be skinny and worry about becoming pregnant..than gaining like 40 lbs every 3 months...SOOOOO...if your body "FEELS" different to you..take a test... but it could be a few months before you actually get pregnant! GOOD LUCK!!!

sweetie, my best advice to you would be go get checked by your doctor....and also get a Pregnancy test done by them . Make sure it is a blood test at that .... I was 4 months pregnant before I started showing ,cause I had no morning sickness at all... I did not start gaining weight till I was in my 8Th month....I did not have regural cycles since I started them when I was 13 yrs old...I have had so much problems with my cycles they finally had to do a hysterectomy, I was in my very early 30's when I had that surgery...

well if your not getting a cycle your not ovulating although you can ovulate b4 your first cycle(does that make sense) so what i would do is go to the doctor ask them to give you something to jump start your cycle like progesteron (you'd have one within a week) then they should start comming back normal which means you will be ovulating normally.thats what happened to me and the next month i found out i was pregnant with twins unfortionatle i lost them but the month after that i was pregnant with my beautiful boy. good luck

depo is not supposed to be taken for more then 2 years..it can mess up the reproductive organs to the point of you not having kids at all..best thing to do is go to the doctor..they ccan simply do a blood test..which is more accurate and you'll find out a lot sooner

it took me a year to get pregnant after two years of using it. i will say do not anticipate too much about it or it will even take longer!
