I'd have to say Ryan Newman, granted he's not doing great this year, but neither are some of the other drivers that they mention often.

Mark Martin is the under rated driver this year. He has finished in the top 5 almost every race, and you never hear anything about him.

I'd have to say Jeff Burton! He is in the top five for the cup currently! He's also the second highest in number of top ten finishes so far this year and has the pole three times, granted he hasn't won yet, but he has been close...and led a lot of laps! Plus, you don't see his clothes, etc. out there as much as you do the other guys...so he doesn't have the fans the other guys have, so he is definately under rated!

Oh, Matt Kenseth maybe. They only mention him after he gets in a scuffle with Tony Stewart or something of that nature. But he is actually doing a really great job this year and may actually have a shot at the cup. Kasey Kahne, definitely is underrated as well.

Take a look at Tony Raines' last couple of finishes. He is finishing pretty darn well for a first year team and a driver without a whole lot of Cup experience. Clint Bowyer is pretty underrated also.

overvalued - Dale Jr. is without delay at right here, yet Elliott Sadler and Kevin Harvick are maximum easily overvalued. fantastically this year. Underrated - David Reutimann's coming around, so i can not say him anymore. it rather is gotta be Brian Vickers. Nabs a suited 10 lots of cases without suited 10 automobile. consistently runs nicely on the rather large tracks. with any luck gets his 2d occupation win day after today at Michigan. we will see.

Of course I'd say Ryan Newman too (he's my favorite), but my first thought was Casey Mears and I was so glad to see that others feel the same way.

dave blaney, carl long, p.j. jones, ward burton, mike wallace, mike skinner, kirk shelmerdine, the green brothers(jeff and david), boris said, and kenny schrader. some just don't have comparable equipment, testing, team support, technology, sponsors...etc...as others. would like to see what these guys could do on a level playground.
