No. I don't think so. All actors and actresses took jobs to help pay the bills, even as a waiter/waitress in a restaurant. That's all how they got started. But it doesn't necessary mean they get noticed by an agent, unless they're there.

It is true that many actors work as waiters while trying to break into the movies. Some of them do other things, but a waiter has a flexible schedule allowing them to go to auditions and cattle calls.

A LOT OF PEOPLE WILL FIND THIS HARD TOO BELIEVE BUT BEFORE VANNIA WHITE BECAME A SUPERSTAR ON THE WHEL OF FORTUNE BEFORE THAT SHE WAS A WAITRESS IN MYRTYLE BEACH SOUTH CAROLINIA, OKAY YES ITS TRUE UNYIL YOU GET YOUR BIG BREAK YES YOU MUST DO THINGS TOO PAY THE BILSS ESPECIALLY IN HOLLYWOOD ITS VERY VERY EXPENSIVE ETC, AND UNTIL THAT BIG BREAK COMES YOU EITHER WAIT ON TABLES OR STARVE ETC!! I don't think so...you'd have to consult movie companies, but I don't think that's a big rule. I act, and I think I would have heard about that by now!
