No. I want to go quietly in my sleep, like my grandfather did. Not shrieking like the passengers in his car. :)

All of a sudden there are a lot of dead questions! What if this were your last day or hour. Who would you be with? Etc. Etc.

I have to admit, that is a good dead question. It makes you stop and think. I think I would want to know. Then I could plan ahead, so to speak. Yes, I would want to do some things before I die that I might not do if I didn't know. I would spend more time with my own siblings and of course, my children. I would smoke again. I wouldn't care if I knew when I was going to die. I could smoke and not feel bad or guilty.

I am very organized and I like to be prepared.

Yeah cos so many people die suddenly and leave grieving relatives behind who haven't had time to say goodbye properly, or people lose someone when there are still bad feelings between them - if you knew when you were going to die you could leave on a good note and everyone would be much happier!

Depends on far ahead I would know. I'd hate to go through my entire life from birth to adulthood, etc., knowing the exact date of my death. But it might be nice to know a few weeks/months ahead of time so I could get my affairs in order.

I think there was a "fantasy" movie about a group of beings that knew from birth how and when they would die. They were perpetually sad people.

Definitely Not...

We all know that we are going to die, right? That is the only thing that is for sure in this life, it is a promise made to us when we are born. Wether it be tomorrow or in 50 years.

Every second we live is more beautiful because we know it might be our last.

Why torture ourselves with knowing the exact date and time of our end? It is not given to us because we would not know how to handle it. We already have enough stress to live with, right?

I would think that the only way to be truly ready is to think about the consecuences of each of our actions... each and every single one... It will affect us in our last trip...

I definitely would because I feel that having any date set in stone would make we want to accomplish as much as possible before it comes. You could also be more daring but w/caution: If you jump off a bridge you could be a vegetable but still technically alive. And you still wouldn't know if you were going to how you were going to die (quickly/slowly) so theoretically you get get something disease that takes years to slowly, painfully kill you or you could get hit by a bus.

I don't want to know,
I want to live life to the full and contribute until I can't any more, then go bungee jumping without the cord so I don't end up dribbling and having my batty wiped for me.

That time could be 50, 70, 90

Don't want to know.

PS. It didn't do the cyclops much good in Krull.

Yes and then I would go out and do all the things I ever wanted to do in life within reason Cedar Point Disney Fun Stuff. I would take time to talk to the best Minister in the Church and bargan my life with GOD a bit and come to acceptance with the fact I will Die IS IT WELL WITH MY SOUL. Go to my friends and have a great party within reason and plan my funeral. I also want my friends to party after my funeral. I don't want them to cry for me. I will see them in Heaven someday. I am a Christian and I fear death but with faith in Jesus I have not doubt that He will be the first one I will see. I am sure. PRAY

No, because I firimly believe in (a Christian) God, and I believe the future is His domain and His alone.

I do, however, feel that we should all ACT like we knew that today would be our last day on this planet, and that we were expecting the next step be a face-to-face Interview with God. I think that this is a much better philosophical question.

Heck no way, life is short enough as it is and I want to make the most of it now without the worry that my time would almost be up, somethings are just better not knowing about.
