It's an older term. In Vegas (and I'm sure other places as well) they have female revues. It's not (supposedly) as sleazy as a regular strip show. It has more artistic merit. You know what I mean? There are fancy costumes, maybe a theme for the show, interesting lighting and music, etc.

Now people can call regular strip shows "revues", but it's more ironic.

Just a word used to help deferentiate a polished cabarate show from a stereotypical or cliche underground strip show.

Revue basically means its all good clean fun!

Groups that come under that category are:
Manpower, Sydney Hotshots and Aussiestorm.

Revue usually means there's a plot to it, some sort of singing and dancing theme.

Not just simple stripping.

Same reason they call strip clubs with naked women "Gentlemen's Clubs". It's a euphemism. After having attended many bachelor parties in a few different states, I can only remember seeing one place that had both male and female dancers (in different rooms--so I never actually saw the male dancers). It was the Sugar Shack in southern Wisconsin. That was several years ago, so I don't know if it is still there.

they say male revue, because women don't want to admit that they are just as much pigs as they say men are for watching a strip show. they think it makes it sound classier. not.

He's going there to wack off to half naked women and fantasize about bangin' them. Don't believe all this 'have a beer with friends' stuff. He could go to a regular bar for that. Men go to strip clubs to look at **** and fantasize about other women because they're pigs.

revue means a show mixed with music and stripping.

It's nice verbal wording for women to use. Less skanky and acceptable. A cover-up on a night out for the women to be bad and look at nude men.

...and women get offended if a guy goes out to a strip club.
