Thank goodness you haven't been in a mall for that long, malls suck the soul right out of you.
If you have some old jewelry you could always cut it up and restring or rearrange any beads from a few pieces into one awesome piece that you love. You might need needles if the beads are very small. You could make jewelry out of nuts (the kind used to hold screws in place) if there are any in your basement or in a toolbox somewhere, by stringing them up. I used to make dangle earrings by hanging things off of safety pins, they were pretty awesome and I could make new ones whenever I found something else that was cool! People also make necklaces and things out of bottle caps. They hot-glue images into the bottle cap, and then string the bottle caps together side-by-side, so the images show.
Another idea is to start cutting up old t-shirts that are too big or that your don't like. You can make great shirts just by cutting up what you have and making it more your size. You can even make skirts out of shirts if they are big enough and you can sew well enough.
Not being in a mall could be a saving grace for your imagination, I'm sure if you look around your house you'll get plenty of ideas for great fashion!

ouch.. 4 1/2 months.. try and see if he'll take u to a craft store (michaels or the rag shop, ac moore) and there u can find some cute inexpensive trimings to fix up or even create cute new accessories.for example it would be easy to get one of your old belts or one that is a little "dull" looking and update it with buttons or ribbon or something..just experiment until u find a look that u like!! also for additional tips and ideas surf the net there are plenty of sites (ive been on aswell - but just cant remember the adresses off the top of my head) out there that will give great ideas on how to update old accessories!! this way ull have totally unique accessories and will probably have fun making them as well!!! good luck!

Maybe he will let you go to Goodwill, thrift stores, or garage sales. You can get cool things for very little $$$. Maybe you and all of your friends can take all of the accessories you don't personally have a use for and trade each other for items you each like better! Plus, the 80s are so awesome now you are bound to maybe find some cool accessories in your garage, storage, or parents/siblings' closets!!! Good luck!

Ooo. 4 1/2 months. What'd you do to deserve that kinda punishment? I'd totally die. Um. I've actually seen cute stuff with buttons but it's hard to actually make it look good unless your talented. You can try tin foil beads. Or bake your own clay beads. HAHAHA. I'd never wear any of the things I just suggested but maybe you can get it to work. Can you pay some one to go get you the accessorie you need?

Let's see. Be creative. Try some of your old accessories and dress them up. Put some cute buttons or beads on different things. Have fun.

how about shopping at a thrift store? you can pick up some terrific bargains!! or better yet, go to a local craft store, learn how to make jewelry.
If worse comes to worse, a hot glue gun will dress up just about anything. Look for buttons, old jewelry, broken watches, etc.as they can be glued to almost anything like hats, belts, flip flops and jeans! take a look around and be creative!
