Both are slang terms for marijuana that also have other meanings. For example, weeds are unwanted or wild plants, and dope..well..that means stupid person.
Other slang words for marijuana include maryjane, reefer, 420, smoke, doob (refers to a marijuana cigarette), blunt (also a doob), doobie, etc.

me and dahammerhead are right... all of the other answers are baloney they've obviously never done drugs before..
dope means any drug that gets you high.. it means drugs.. any kind of drug... also used as "doped up" which means high on drugs
weed is weed.. pot aka marijuana... o sweet mary jane.

Weed means marijuana only.
Dope means any of the social drugs ie coke, meth, hash, etc.
