For me, the Creative Zen Vision M.

I've had my ZVM for about 2 1/2 months now.

ZVM is better than an iPod because:
1) better video display (262,000 colors vs 65,000 on iPod)
2) longer battery life for video (4 hours vs 2 hours on iPod 30GB)
3) Works with subscription music services that let you legally fill the player with thousands and thousands and thousands of songs for as little as $10 a month. I have over 1300 songs on mine and it'll hold about 5000 high quality subscription songs. Or you could pay $5000 for those songs on iTunes. Sorry, Apple won't let you rent music.
4) Less expensive to buy songs and more places to get them. Apple has iTunes, Rhapsody, and a couple others. ZVM has Yahoo Music Unlimited, Rhapsody, Napster, Walmart, MSN, and tons of others for 79cents, 88cents, and 99cents.
