Should Illegal Aliens learn the Engish language, or use they don't understand, as an excuse?

Incarcerated Illegal aliens who have committed crimes and now feel the Department of Corrections owes them something. They appear to always pull the discrimination card.

They should learn the language, and not knowing english is not a defense for a crime they commited, wrong is wrong in any language. And as punishment they should be deported back to their country, we don't owe illegal immigrants anything.

There's no requirement that anyone learn any language. And no way to enforce it even if there were.

But lack of understanding of the language is no excuse to criminal activity, because ignorance of the law is generally not an excuse.

Millions and millions of immigrants have come to this great nation from every corner of the earth. They have all adapted and learned the language. The ones in jail do need a translator for them to understand our legal system. Although they are illegal, we do need to make their rights understood to them. We are not barbarians.

I live in a border state and the problem I see is this....You can not get a job anymore unless you know Spanish. Schools, Medical jobs, stores...etc. Unless you know Spanish, it is almost impossible to get hired. it sucks. Everyone is catering to the Mexicans.
