I am currently using Huggies Supreme for my son. I have heard that Pampers Cruisers are really good too. The Huggies Supremes have 2 stretchy layers around the legs for extra leak protection. I know that the regular huggies and pampers baby dry only have 1. I am curious if the Pampers Cruisers have 1 or 2 bands around the legs. And if you have used both Huggies Supreme and Pampers Cruisers, which do you like best and why? Are the Pampers Cruisers anywhere close to he Huggies supreme as for the stretchyness? Thanks, from one parent to another. I just want to know before I go buy a whole pack of diapers I may not use.

From the beginning, I used Huggies Supreme. They seemed to be better made and very absorbant. They also seemed to just be more comfortable. Recently, I tried using Pampers. Low and behold, I like them too. My son is 21 months old and although he's not walking yet (that's a whole different issue) I like the fact that there's not as much bulk between his legs. The Pampers Cruisers are a bit lighter and thinner than the Huggies Supremes. When my son was born, he was very small and the only diapers I could find to fit him (and they were still big) were the Huggies Preemies. I'm not sure if that's how I got started on the Huggies or if the fact that the hospital used the Pampers (and I didn't want the most economical diaper for my baby ...snob, I know) turned me off. Anyway, the one thing that I've noticed about Pampers is that they don't leave any red marks around my baby's legs, like the Huggies do. He's certainly not chubby, so it's not his size that would cause that. It's the design of the diaper. Huggies have four rows of elastic and Pampers has three. The difference between the two (I'm looking at both kinds right now) is that the Huggies are more tightly fitted and not quite as gentle to the legs and the Pampers are a little looser, giving baby more room to move without elastic cutting into him. So, to answer your question, yes the Pampers Cruisers are just as stretchy, but there's less elastic.

You could just buy a small package of the Pampers Cruisers to see if they'll work out for you. They are super absorbant, I can tell you that. People seem to like one or the other and stick to their choice, but I've started using both because they both have good qualities. Typically, I use Huggies at night and Pampers during the day. I've never had a leak with either of them. Give the Cruisers a try, you might like them :)

Happy Parenting!!!

***Pampers Cruisers has 3 rows of elastic around the leg. Two of the rows are sewn close together, that fit around the leg. The other band of elastic fits around the crotch.

I started out using huggies with my first two kids. I thought nothing of the diaper for the most part, my daughters managed to pee outside of the diaper and in my lap and they left the diaper dry. I had my 3rd daughter and I decided to switch to pampers. I am in heaven. The pampers have one band inside the diaper and one band around the outside of the diaper that goes around the baby's legs. The pampers have more stretch room than the huggies do. I tried to stretch a huggie diaper like a pamper and I ripped it. Everytime you buy a bag of pampers there is a coupon inside the package for you next purchase. I have never had no problems with leaks or messes slipping out of diapers and they seem to hold together better. With the huggies if my child got the diaper too wet the diaper would start to come apart . This wouldn't take very long after she was wet. In the pampers I could probably leave her in her wet diaper for an hr and it will not start to disintegrate. Try a small bag of pampers and try them, if you don't like them you can always buy another bag or find someone else that needs them. I prefer the pampers myself.

I've used the Huggies before, but not for a while. :) They never fit my first son properly and he leaked constantly. When my second son was born, my first son was still in diapers and we were on a tight budget and couldn't afford them on a regular basis. I used Pampers Cruisers a few times, and they leaked horribly for my little guys. I loved the Swaddlers though. Unfortunately, I can't answer your specific question about the leg bands. I can, however, offer you my $0.02 on diapers.

Do you live near a Kroger? If you feel like it, the next time you're at Kroger, buy a small pack of the Kroger Ultra-Comforts diapers and try them. To me, they're identical to Huggies supreme. What I like about them is they stretch (the velcro tabs) and the baby can move freely in them and eat without having their circulation cut off when their stomach expands, lol. Both my boys (29 months and 13 months) are still in diapers, and this is all I'll buy. A case of the size 5 (80 diapers) is about $15.99 in my area. My older son is incredibly active...running, jumping, climbing, etc. and my younger son is just starting to walk, but also crawls a bit. These diapers have never once leaked. Not even during the night, when they get pretty saturated. I think they're the best, by far.

Cruisers seem to be the same as huggies supreme, but the tabs are narrower. I also like that the pampers tab has a bit of sticky tape to it in addition to the velcro.

Anyways... it really depends on how the baby's hips are as to the best. Both of my boys did better with pampers while my girl fit better in huggies.

I suggest you try a pack and see if you like it better. If not, then go back to huggies.

I have 2 kids in diapers and i can say without a doubt that the Pampers Cruisers are the BEST! They only leak when they are so soaked the babies little butt won't hold the diaper up. And it takes alot of liquid to fill them up. Pampers are ok for smaller babies but when they get into about a size 4 diaper I recommend Pampers cruisers- HANDS DOWN!

Hate Huggies they leak and leak the gel if they wet a lot while sleeping. Pampers cruisers are good but cost a lot. I agree that Kroger diapers are great. It turned out they are just as good as the Pampers and cost a lot less. That is all I ever use. Do not try the Kroger FMV diapers they are not as good.

We preferred the Pampers - I liked the stretchiness and the tabs were nicer than the Huggies I thought.

I like Pampers better than Huggies for my daughter.

Pampers have two stretchy layers around the legs too and I find them to be more stretchy in general than Huggies.

My babies are very big, specially around the thighs, and Pampers is the only brand that fits them. Pampers seem to have more of a "cloth feel" than Huggies.

I hope you find your perfect diaper.

Huggies never worked for my daughter. I love pamper cruisers, my daughter never has leaks with those, even overnight. I think once you try them, you will never go back! :)
