Sad Love

My heart beats a different way,
every time I look at you.

I wish I could explain it,
but I don’t know what to do.

I’ve never felt this way before,
about anyone I’ve ever met.

There’s just something about you,
that my heart won’t let me forget.

There’s not an hour that goes by,
that lm not thinking about you.

and how I would give anything,
just to be able to say, I do.

You’re the one that I’ve longed for,
for so many restless years.

And now I find you in front of me,
as I stand here towards the end.

Because today my heart will fall to pieces,
as I watch you, get married to my friend.

that is beautiful writing and yes i have felt that way. My best friend that i was in love with for forever got married to one of my female friends they were dating for a few years but i missed my chance cause i was to shy to say anything and after he started dating her i was too damned embarrassed to say anything so i just let it be and it has to be one of the biggest regrets of my life.

Actually yes I'm pretty sure we have at some time loved someone we couldn't have or like in my case loved someone we couldn't marry for one reason or another. My case is pretty simple but it still hurts sometimes, I've had several bad relationships and then I met my bf now. A very Wonderful, Caring, Loving father and mate BUT my older children refuse to give into the whole "family" idea with him (he's not "THEIR" daddy and therefor in their eyes not good enough) My children are my FIRST responsibility, they did not ask to be brought here and it is my job to make sure their happiness comes before my own, not that I don't deserve to be happy JUST AS they don't deserve to be Unhappy. Now when they grow up and go on with their lives it is my turn to "live" and if this guy can hold on that long (and yes I know it's unfair to even ask) I will marry him HAPPILY, but as of now its a very sad occasion because I never know if he Will Indeed wait that long.

Yes! I've felt sad so much now it seems like I can't even get sad anymore! Don't worry about feeling sad feel happy. Something will come along and make you feel a whole lot better remember life is to short live today like it's no tommorw!

Awww.

(and here's the stinker)

It happens.

You'll find someone else who's different, not better. And then you may find that penultimate person at some point who is actually better, but screw that. Love is love, no matter for how long it lasts.

My long story looks pretty much the same, from reading your poem (which is actually not all that bad) and I gotta go to *gulp* her wedding party real soon. But ya know, I still love her, I know she still loves me but is devoted to her cool but weird hubby, and they have a kid who's cool as s----. She got everything that she wanted and I'm glad she's happy.

Meanwhile, I'm pretty much hitched.

It's cool, real cool.

Oh sure honey. I am so in love with my best friend I can't even describe it. I can't do anything about how I feel and will never ever try because he is married (thankfully, to a wonderful woman) I want the best for him because I love him; I couldn't feel any other way and still call myself his friend but it still hurts.

It's ALWAYS the one that got away, isn't it...?

Brings to mind the words of Little Richard: "The grass may be greener on the other side of the fence, but the lawn still needs to be mowed..."

Keep your friend... Find a new girl... Move along, folks... Nothin' to see here...

So is the moral of the story not to be scared to tell someone you love them before it's too late.

that a nice poem. And if that really happen that's fu cked up. But really if she would do that to you she not what she seems to be. She's a low down person and doesn't deserve to be loved
