I have spotting (bright red, looks like blood mixed with some fluid) one and a half weeks before my period (about 2 teaspoons each day for 3 days) and have had this regularly for 5 years. Also, around this time, I also leak a lot of urine, enough to coat a pantiliner. When I have sex around this time, I leak a lot of fluids including urine and it’s embarrassing. I am trying to do kegals but I tend to leak more afterwards. My bladder muscles seem weak but I don’t know how to check. Any suggestions? Sometimes when I sneeze really hard, a little bit of urine leaks out.

There’s more. During my periods, I get blood clots the size of quarters. It’s terrible as blood comes out in globs and it’s uncomfortable to sit on. Sometimes, globs of blood the size of 3 grapes comes out and I have to run to the bathroom to change my pad. I noticed that as I sit down for short periods, more of the blood will clot and when I stand up big globs will come out.

I have gone to the doctor to tell them about my spotting but they say it’s nothing, still I can’t help but wonder if they are just brushing me off. Please help, as this subject is too embarrassing to discuss in person. Also, there is no chance that I am pregnant.

For your problem, see a gyn dr. Sometimes birth control and other types of medication can help regulate your periods and prevent any breakthrough bleeding you may experience before your regular period starts. Don't worry so much about the clots, when you sit for periods of time sometimes the blood pools inside your vagina and you'll feel blood clots come out when you stand up. Let your dr. know about it when you see him or her. As to the leaking of urine, it sounds like you might be experiencing what is called stress incontinence. It means that if you sneeze, cough, jump, push, pull you sometimes leak urine. Often that indicates that you need to strengthen your pelvic floor muscles. Kegel exercise DOES help if done regularly, sometimes your doc will order medications that also help with that. If it gets really bad, surgery is another option. See your gyn doctor and discuss your options.

I have a heavy flow, horrible cramps & constand discharge (milky liquid, can be a pale canary yellow). I have to use tampons & change them frequently the first three days of my period. Otherwise I'd be changing my pad every 20 minutes. I would say to try several OBGYN's only. Do not see a regualar doctor about this. Only see gynacologists & try to get a femae. (I have had several bad experiences with male gynocologist.) I have had the same "run around" about my heavy flow/extreemly painful cramps & my constant discharge but they all say it's normal. I have heard of something called Endoemeetreeosis
(I sounded it out) I think it's spelled Endometriosi? Ask you OBGYN to test you for it. Look it up in the mean time to see if any on those symptoms discribe how you feel. Hope this helps.

How old are you and are you on birth control of any sort? BC can cause spotting between your periods. As for the clotting I would think that if you are in your late thirtys or above clots should be considered normal. As for the urine leakage look into 'PROLAPSED BLADDER/ UTERUS

Sounds like you might have some kind of infection. See your doctor, if you wait too long and do have an infection it can make you sterile.
