Ok you need to relax! I was in the same boat as you about a month ago. First of all what kind of spotting is it. Is it brown? I am going to tell you what I went through and I hope it isn't like yours. I first felt really crampy. At first I thought it was just the uterus growing. Then I started to spot, but it was brown. I called my ob and she said to stay off my feet and if it worsens to come in. When the spotting turned to bright red, not pink I called my husband home from work and we went to the ER. I was examined and told that my cervix was open and it was a 50-50 chance that I would keep the baby. He told me to go home and be on 100% bed rest. My cramps worsned and so did the bleeding. I lost my baby. I don't want to alarm you but I want you to be fully aware of the situation. Having a miscarriage was one of the hardest things for me to go through. I want you to hear someone elses story. If you do lose the baby try to remember that there was probably something wrong with the baby. Hang in there and try to relax, stay off your feet and if it turns bright red then go to the ER they can do a pelvic exam to see if your cervix is open. God bless.

First take a deep breath and calm down. You are going to worry yourself to death. It is normal for some women to spot in the first few weeks of pregnancy. It is true that the 1st trimester is very crucial. Just be calm and enjoy the fact that you are going to have a little baby. Also stay off your feet during this time and keep your doctor inform of what's going on especially if there's any changes, Congratulations.

I had some spotting during my first pregnancy and it was that my body was ready to have a period. It is as if the body doesn't know or doesn't want to accept that you are pregnant. In cases like mine, that didn't mean anything serious. If you have cramps and heavy bleeding, then you need to worry. If you have a miscarriage, just think that something was wrong with the fertilization of the egg and the body needs to get rid of it.

Don't worry!! The same thing happened to me when I was pregnant with my daughter, and she turned out to be a healthy 8 lb, 19 1/2" bundle of joy. Don't worry, spotting at this point in pregnancy is fairly common. Just make sure that you keep in touch with your dr if heavier bleeding or cramping develops.

Don't worry yet, I know some of my friends spotted for the first few months, I never did, But some people do.....Just take it real easy and no lifting......stay off your feet as much as you can.....when the spotting stops than you can start your routine again..........I guess your Dr should have told you that....That is what my friends were told......Good Luck, I'm sure everything will be fine.......

Although spotting isn't always a problem, I am afraid your doctor is right. You are going to just have to wait. And what he is waiting for, is to see if the spotting continues, or if it gets worse. I know it is easy to say, and very hard to do, but try and relax, and not worry about it. There really isn't anything you can do right now. And worrying about it, is just going to make everything worse.

It really is too early to tell.
Some women have spotting during their entire pregnancy.
Some women have monthly periods during their entire pregnancy.
All can be normal.
Don't freak out, it won't help. Try to relax, and let nature take its course. Take care of yourself and take folic acids. Repeat the following to yourself:
May God grant me the serenity for the things that are not under my control, the courage to change the things that I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

I hope everything goes well for you! Please try to relax and remain calm. I spotted for four months with my first pregnancy and then it just stopped as my Dr. said it would. I was scared too but I think it might help if you can remain calm and relax and rest during the day with your feet up.

A lot of mothers miscarry their first baby. If you do, that just means that it wasn't the right time. If it is the right time, the baby will be perfectly fine! Leave it on God's (budda, the earth, mother nature...whatever floats your boat) hands and I'm sure you'll be Ok.
