The cat's whiskers do not affect the cat's vision. However it will affect the cat's ability to judge whether a opening is too small to enter. If the whiskers cannot fit into an opening , then the cat knows it cannot as well. Cutting the whiskers may cause the cat to get stuck somewhere because it was not warned that the opening was too narrow.

Raymond is right - my daughter trimmed her cat's whiskers and the darned thing got trapped behind the radiator where it had never tried to venture before. And it did walk like it was drunk, also put its whole face into the water dish until the whiskers grew back.

no dearest, its not a myth . its somekind of connected to the nerve system of the poor animal . and if you do this youll see that it walks as if its drunk ,. but the truth is it affected its eyesight . something like blurry vision not complete blindness .these were the scientific reasons. but actually i have a stronger reason than theory and thats EXPERIENCE . but it seems the results are not permanent . may the lord forgive me . i hope you got your answer.so that means you dont have to try it .alright!!!!!!!!
