Im sure anything she lectures you on, she thinks she is doing it for your own good. Your mom has been in the same spot you are now. We all have. Once you start shaving you can never stop, be sure you are ready. Dont use the "well everybody is doing it" speech, that never works with a mom. Tell her YOUR reason for wanting to start and let her know YOU are ready. Then throw in the "everybody is doing it"... lol

Just take her aside and talk to her I am a mom and as long as my daughter and I talk about things its not a problem. Besides we understand that you dont want to be the only girl in your grade thats not shaving your legs or arm pits its embarrassing for you and I know as a mom I wouldnt want my child to go through that.
Of course that is not to say you have to do everything everyone else does to fit in always be true to yourself.

well my mom does the same thing...... i think all moms do. but when i first started shaving i never told any1. i just did.i would just use my brothers razor. he doesent even no that i have been using it. cause if i did tell any1 that i have been shaving then every 1 would make a big deal out of it... my mom looks at my legs usually and she askes me if i have been shaving but i tell her that i havw just been using her lotion hair remover...she supports the lotion more than the razor.....and of coarse my brother always wonders y his razors r all of a sudden getting so dull

if you have a problem communicating with your mom tell her now before its to late. Theres no reason why as a child and teenager we should fear what our parents say when we want to have a simple conversation.. I had those problems with my mom and have paid a lifetime for it. SIt her down and tell her you need to talk without her getting mad or judging you.

My mum didn't want me to, so I just did it. That shut her up! There's no going back once you have and she knew that - the hair grows back thicker and you'll need to shave more.
