I can't find a song I want on Limewire, if I check back in a couple hours do you think it will be there. Or are all the songs on there on there forever?

the files available will change at different times of day because you are downloading from other people, who may go offline or only have their limewire software running a certain amount of hours per day.

if you tell me which song you are after i can tell you where to get it, it may never appear on limewire because limewire is quite limited.

Limeware entitles you to a connection with the GNutella network which is basically a P2P (Peer to Peer) network where computers connect to other computers through access servers. The Limewire access servers you connect to change all the time as do those who log in and out of the GNutella network (Limewire isn't the only program that connects to this network).

The basics is that anything you download from the GNutella network you actually download from someone's computer. This is how file sharing works.

So to answer your question, you can check back often enough and you may or may not find the song you're looking for. It also depends on how popular and old your song is. It also helps if you know the artist of the song or any other albums this song may appear on.

Hope this helps and gives you a little insight on how Limewire really works.

yep. cos it will only show songs of people who are logged on to limewire at that particular time,
ie, i only log on for about an hour or so every few days so my shared music will only show up then if no one else is online with the same tunes
show more sources means that people who pay for limewire are using their priority status and you have to wait until they are finished before you get your freebie,

it might be there later. it uses P2P (peer to peer) meaning that if someone else is on limewire at the same time as you and you search for a song in their shared folder it will show up in your results. maybe someone with the song wasnt on when u checked and will be on later.

if it doesnt work, go to www.torrentspy.com and search for the song. u will need to download torrent software (i recommend azureus) to download the file if you find it.

hope u get it. =)

That's a good question,I wondered that, but I have noticed that item's that are listed for download don't always work or say 'need more sources' ....I'd like to see if someone knows the 'facts'!!
