Some of my songs skip on my ipod, so I heard that using the "Ipod Updater" would fix that. But I heard that if I use that it will erase my songs .Is there any way I can save my songs so I still have them?, or can I fix the skipping problem another way?

I'm guessing you have iTunes by saying this....
Do this with nothing connected to the PC.. As soon as you get done and hit OK plug it in and it should update it.. If not, then let me know because there is another way.
Go to 'Edit' in the top left corner... go down to 'Preferences' you should be on the section that says 'General'... go down to the very last thing it says.... It should have a box and then say "Check for iTunes updates automatically" Make sure this is checked!
