Windows 98 Second Addition is the first one to offer USB port operation per the lit and my experience - has a lot more drivers and does a better job of plug and play - haven't used it in years but preferred to everything between it and XP was very stable and in its day a great step forward - W95B was good on old low cap laptops but Win98SE was quicker and more stable - easier to start and to repair - sometimes I miss DOS tho.

98 is a lot safer than 95. 98 is probably the safest of the windows OS's. windows 95 is probably the third unsafest (ME, then XP).

Three years? Actually, who cares? Both programs are so outdated that hardly anyone uses them anymore. I don't even see too many people using Windows ME either but that's probably because it sucked!

about 20 years. 98 is more reliable, though xp is currently the best that I have found (we're talking 10 yr old technology)

I've never used either Win95 or Win98. I started with WinXP. However, I do know that Win98 is still a popular version that many people use.
