Beware! Engine flush can cause as many problems on an old worn engine as it cures. I am assuming that you want this product because of sludge buildup in the engine. Engine flush products will remove a lot of this buildup, but you will probably have an increase in oil consumption and smoking if you use it. If used on an engine in good repair it can remove harmful deposits, but if you are already burning oil and have blow-by, then you are risking making the situation worse by using this stuff.

Go to your local "AUTOZONE" or any good sized auto parts store in your area, they should have it somewhere on the shelf with all the chemicals. It's a quart sized metal can,I think the name brand is "siloo" or "gunk".Buy the things you need to do a oil change, oil, oil filter, drain pan and oil filter wrench at the same time, the drill is pour the flush chemical into the engine as you would a quart of oil, then run the motor until it's at full operating temp, then drain everything out through the drain plug, change the filter, put new oil in and you are done. Just remember that this stuff will clean all the sludge and gunk in the engine out and if any of that sludge and whatever else is in there is taking up space made by a worn part or stopping a leak all that will start making noise and leaking again.so my advice is two fold (one) if the motor is basically sound but you are sure about the oil change history and just want to clean it out.Just change the oil and filter and keep after it on a regular basis 3 months or 3k miles whichever comes first is the best be.(two) if the motor is really gunked up and not running straight it might be best to pull it and overhaul it or replace it with a motor from a wreck with a known matience history depending which one is the most cost effective.

Don't use the stuff........ you are asking for problems. If you have a slight sludge problem use a good quality 5-30w oil and change it after about 500 milies, you may need to do this more than once. If the the problem is from neglect, good luck i have have seen sludge so thick it looks like putty. nothing short of an over haul will help.

you got to watch using that stuff, especially if your engine is sludged up,because it can clog up your oil pump.but if you are going to do it anyway, there is something better then engine flush, and it works better too(ive used it before and it works good)and thats a quart of kerosene, but only leave your car running about 2 to 5 minutes, because it gets hot, then shut it down and change your oil and filter.
