That question can not be answered. We are not God so we dont know how God came about, but I can answer this. I know man didn't create the universe because I've seen first hand the limitation of man. God on the other hand I can't make such a judgement, God is the beginning and the end. The very thought goes so far beyond any rational thought you can process on this planet but that doesn't mean it isn't real. We only use roughly 10% of our brain compacity so we humans know much less than we think. But just because we humans justify everything as having a beginning and an end doesnt mean there isn't an alternate source of reality that tells us otherwise, thus explaining the existance of God.

We've got a semi-answer in Islam..

We say that it is more complicated than what we think it is, I'll tell you why:-

In Islam, we believe that god created this world and he is the ultimate creator, and he created us to worship him, and before he creates us he created the universe so we can live in it (or maybe he created it for other creatures before us to worship him also), so if he created all of that, I don't think he needs a creator, and if there is such thing why we didn't hear about him till now?

We can't explain it to ourselves, god made us such simple creatures, there's a verse in the Quran that says: " And we didn't give you from knowledge except a little", so I guess we thought that we went too far.. But still we're not as far as we think.

skip the ignorance that takes up space on this page, and ask him your self , but rememeber, if a child were to ask you ,why should i not lie or why should i not kill or what is LOVE, how would you explain to him or her in such a way in which a 4 ,5, 6 ,10, or even 12 year old would comprehend, there are many things we as children will never under stand untill adulthood likewise we as adults will have to wait until an apropriate time for the answers we seek concerning our creator . when a chid has matured and the parent trys to explain love and the birds and the bees to there sibling there is a time and a place for it, he is GOD he needs not explain to the ignorant, he says his door is open, and one only needs to knock. " heres one for you" if GOD knows everything ,past present and future, why did he create satan any way , knowing before hand that he would fall, and evil would come into existence ,along with murder , rape, child molesters childern dieing horriable deaths?and so on. answer this one my curious friends

I have a friend who says that man created God because we are so flawed that we NEED to believe in a higher power. God was invented to explain the un-explainable. If it weren't for the testaments (written by man) then civilization as we know it would not exist. It is a continuous brainwashing and embellished facts designed to keep us civilized. Another says that we are an experiment by aliens and that we are not the only experiment in the universe. Neither explains dinosaurs or why more poeple have been killed in the name of God throughout history than for any other reason. I am more of the belief that(like the native americans) the trees the grass the rocks and the earth has a soul and kharma is alive and well. Disheartened by holy wars, man killing man, man killing the earth, hypocracy in the churches, molestations in the churches, and churches that are more interested in money than souls, I am left cold and confused. I have faith in MYSELF and I do unto others as I would have them do for me. If I go to hell for my beliefs-then so be it.

Hi... If you would be reading your Bible, you would never come up with this kind of question. No offense please. God is the ultimate creator. If He has been created, then He can not be God. Bible starts with God creating things. It just tells that God existed before anything. So, please ready your Bible and pray. God will show Himself to you. Blessings

No way to know, human understanding can only go so far. Just like trying to comprehend what eternity would be like.

Listen to the old XTC song "Dear God".

I was young when I first heard it. But it spoke to me.
