Yeah, the Whoos weren't able to wipe out the great mountain-dwelling species "The Grinches" completely, for their king still remains. lol.

The grinch appears to be a Hoo, just an extremely different one. He was raised by Hoos, but was made fun of for his mutations(Full beard at six years old, green skin, cast iron stomach) This forced him into his reclusive and antisocial behavior. That's a shame.
