A formal function requires hosiery if legs are exposed. Bare legs, no matter how well taken care of, still look unfinished, unprofessional, and unkempt. Todays woman is dressing down to the point of slobbery. I for one am proud to be a woman and consistently wear nice clothing with my legs encased in nylon!

Nope. In most cases stocking make things look tacky, unless your wearing like a whoooa evening gown or a wedding dress. But yeah not many use pantyhose or stockings

I agree with the lady that said panty hose unless you are wearing open toed shoes. And if you chose not to wear panty hose (summer time only) I would make sure my legs are shaved and I had some nice color on my legs and with out a doubt, a pedicure. It all depends on the function you are going to.

Well it depends on the outfit. I think panty hose are disgusting and hate them, but agree that they can make an outfit A+. If the dress or skirt is long enough I would go for thigh highs.

relies upon on the position you're going... mostly, as a guy, i could choose the dress & bare legs for glaring causes ... some places could require pants..( trekking contained in the woods ) some places could require pantyhose..( Formal affair )

Only if it's absolutely freezing cold. But I don't classify stockings as classy so I try to avoid them at all costs!

No. Its much to hot, and looks bad with open toed shoes, but if you have like a huge tattoo then yea, cover it up at least, it looks more formal, my mom says, yes, its formal, but my mom doesn't even wear them . I say no.

Hmmm..tough one...my mom would say yes...and perhaps I would agree...

Unless I was wearing open toed shoes...then just be sure to shave and do your toe nails!!!
