Do you think people should keep their personal lives private and stop asking stupid questions?

Where I agree that some times people do ask odd things or announce things which other people might look at and go eeeeeewwww or eeeeeeeeekkkkkkkkk and I quite agree that a site like this is open to abuse. But, people come here for answers and to talk and post things and in general I think sites like these serve as an invaluable tool that allows people to find help and advice and come to terms with events and situations through the medium of community support

Why are they stupid questions?
Sometimes there are personal things that you need an answer to. That's why this site is so good.Objective answers from experienced people who dont know you. Ask someone the same question at work and within a few days everyone knows your problems. I know what you're trying to say, but sometimes some people just need to talk and get honest replies.

Well, the way I see it what some believe to be a stupid questions others may view as a very serious question that they really need to resolve. Given, there are a few on here that just like to make up crap and waste every ones time, but there are a lot that just need answers. Hey at least those on here asking questions that you view as stupid aren't going on the Jerry Springer show and airing their dirty laundry.

no, because if people kept their personal lives private - then there will be no one to help, people will get depressed cos they can't find an answer to their problems and as for you asking the question, just remember - 1 day you will ask a burning question, but then you may think its 'a stupid question' and not bother posting it.. but you will, because you know that people on this site want to help and you know you will get answers - whether you like it or not.

You are very well entitled to your own opinion, but nobody said that you had to read the quote, "stupid questions." I for one, like to help people with their problems, whether it be in person, or on the internet. Some people find it easier to deal with their problems and their personal lives by getting outside input. So the next time you see a potentially "private life" question, please go to a different category.

People come on here to ask personal questions because they dont know anyone on here and feel more comfortable asking strangers that they are never going to meet and never even going to see, so no i think it is a good idea, and people should be able to ask questions on this site and expect all different responses, some will help with what they wanted and others wont!

People should keep their personal lives as private as they wish them to be. I cannot judge which questions are truly stupid since I cannot ever know all the background.

But thats what this for to ask questions that you aren't sure of the answer ...Yes there are some stupid questions put on here...but what about the ones who are very serious...Do you want to ignore them ?
I can pretty much figure out a stupid question from a real one and who am I to judge them...

ur bng a bit personal arn't u? u must read all the questions to know what they r about. Sometimes talking to outsiders help, even if it is via a site like this where no one knows them, i would rather try and give advise to someone that has a personal question then bother with some just asking perverted questions

Depends what you mean by "stupid" .Stupid to you may be ingenious to others, theres no point in talking about something your not gonna change in any way. To tell you the truth the question you asked is a personal question.
