My wife thinks that if the car is not in motion when you turn the tires with the power steering that it will hurt the vehicle. please help us answer this issue.

Well, the wheels will turn safely without the car being in motion. You will scuff the bottom of the wheels some, but it won't hurt them or the car.

The only problem will be a slight excessive wear where the rubber on the tires hit the road. Otherwise no damage to the power steering system.

No, it will not hurt the vehicle...but if you dont have power steering, its TONS easier when the car is rolling slightly.

I think it is bad for the tires to turn them if the car is not moving..They will just scrape on the ground and wear uneavenly.

It will put a little extra strain on the steering mechanism because of the resistance.
