I know how you feel about wanting your period. I was jealous when my friend a year younger than me began hers, and of course I pretended I was glad because it is a very messy thing. But like others have said, don't stress about it. Your time will come. You know, I didn't get mine until I was 16. Yes, it sounds strange but it is actually very normal. All girls get their periods at different times, it's just a matter of when their body is ready.
Good luck! And believe me, when you do get it, it will be exciting. But the second time it comes around, you'll wish you never had it. XD

Your question can't be understood by anyone old enough to be able to answer from years of life experience. You will only get answers from young people, which is great, but really limits the breadth of answers....I know you asked for 12 and 13 only. But I was that age, my daughter was that age....etc.
It is possible for girls to be 16 or more before they get it...if that is what you are asking.

ru a mom, or the kid? well, im 13 and i started when i was 12. i dont understand ur question very well. when u start your period it usually comes through genes sometimes around the time your mom maybe started. girls can start their periods anytime between ages 9-17. so don't sweat if you keep having to wait...and just for emergencies, i would defenitely keep a pad in your purse or something at school...and u'll feel it when it starts to come!

I'm twelve and I started when i was almost 12 like.. two months before my birthday. I also have a friend who is 14 and hasn't started at all. It takes time to get it. I know people in my grade (8th) who have had it sense they were in 5th. Its all has to do with genetics and maturity. Also, with you. its personal and will happen when it happens.

im a little confused, i cant really understand your question.
All i can say is that i got my period when i was in the 8th grade.
You get it between ages 10-16 (around...might be lower since girls are maturing too quickly these days) So dont worry! Let your body takes its time, dont rush it...it doesnt like that.

relax. the more stressed out u are about getting your period the long it will be until it comes. your body can tell when it's ready and if if comes before your body's ready there can be problems. i think the average age is 12.

Its heritary. Whatever age your mom got her period then you will most likely get it around her age. Ask your om what age she got it. Have fun growing up!!!!=)

you might really want it but once you get it youll hate it but you wont really be able to tell when your going to get it , like my mom didn't get hers till she was 17 but my sis got hers when she was12 i got mine when i was 13 so there is no set time on when you are going to get it
