POR FRY CHICKEN, I'm not a gut liking a girl, what ever gave you that idea? Couldn't have been my name, Jenn, sort for Jennifer. Must have been the avatar, cause you are so ignorant and small minded that you think everyone who doesn't wear makeup and dresses must be a guy, I feel sorry for you.

While I'm sure that society and up bringing can have something to do with it, I'm pretty sure they are just born that way. I mean, it's not like being stupid is a choice or anything right? Funny how someone can find themselves on a life path that they didn't necessarily "choose" but are still being punished for it huh! Then again there are people out there who are intentionally stupid just to hurt others, so they can feel better about themselves.

Unfortunately, most are born into it. I can go on and on about it but I think that sums up the great percentage. The trick is how to escape from it. Most important is to realize or accept that you know - you know - that you don't know. . Once you understand that you are on your way out of ignorance... IF you seek out and hang out with the smartest people in your life...and keep seeking. Mentors are hard to find but appreciate one when you find one. You'll begin to recognize the good people of the world really fast. Then you justs keeping on seeking learning...it is a great trip. Enjoy!

for some it could be genetic...but being mentally challenged is NOT the same as being stupid...or having no common sense. people are stupid for lack of an education, AND being raised by parents/family who are stupid/hateful/ignorant bigots who teach their children to be just like them. to me, when you teach your child to hate, it's the same as child abuse. it's socially retarding. people like us who are open-minded human-race lovers must help break the cycle somehow..but how? we have to keep speaking up, stay visible and try to get the "truth" out there. it won't happen overnight. laws discrimating agains woman and minorities have over the years been over-turned. times change, and so do we.

I suspect their origins may lie in the same area as those that are LGBT. Some are born that way, others are raised that way, others become that way due to some abuse inflicted upon them during their formative years.
