LET HIS CLOTHES BE SOAKED IN A MIXTURE OF SOAP WATER A COLON

Soak them in oxyclean, or a mixture of baking soda and vinegar with warm water. This will foam up so don't have your face near it when you mix them. The vinegar is a natural deodorizer and the baking soda when mixed with it acts as a natural deep cleanser. Works well when you have self stick tiles in the kitchen and you need to clean any gaps between them. Don't dry the clothes in a dryer, dry them on a laundry rack on a sunny day.

Sprinkle liberal amounts of baking soda into the affected areas, and launder as usual. Or, if the entire garment is affected, just add 1/2 cup of baking soda to the washing water (with detergent) before adding the clothing.

Works like a charm. It even removed skunk-like smell from my child's clothing.

It seems like to me the vinergar should work, because it is a disinfectant. Have tried soaking the clothes in vinegar water, and then wash?

Good Luck

If they are whites -- undershirts, socks, underwear -- then Clorox bleach will do well. The bleach is a great odor killer. If his clothes are colors, Tide with Bleach is the best stuff out there! Also, if you can wash in warm water without damaging the clothes, that will help too.

Baking soda sounds like a good idea. Also you could try Oxy clean along with your detergent. It's really good.
